Exploring Joomla!

Last week was an action week for TBIP. I was trying really hard to get my website up and running by the end of the week, but I was not able to. I wasn't going to have a full blown products website for my niche, but I was determined to have something more than just a landing page.

In the middle of last week, I started creating my website in Dreamweaver. The vision of my site is clear in my head, but I could not easily translate it onto screen. I started flipping through web templates online in hopes of finding a template I can just tweak. Somehow I came across Joomla! It's a content management system. So far it looks like it can deliver everything I'm looking for.

Now, Instead of having to learn SQL, CSS and PHP, I can just focus on learning Joomla! So the past few days I've taken a few tutorials on Joomla! and on the developer side of Joomla!. I'm so impressed. I've gotten installed on my pc and my webserver and made a sample site to see familiarize myself with how to use it. I really want to get my site up and running by the end of week!

Joomla, Drupal and Other Content Management Systems are good when you get them setup. The backend interface makes it easy to add content from what I remember...
